And thankfully we have no big trips planned for the foreseeable future. We survived Disneyland with a pre-schooler and a toddler! It really was a great trip - one that made me realize what great little monkeys we have. These kinds of trips can tend to bring out the worst in kids, but thankfully (this time) mine were really really great. No meltdowns, very minimal whining, and general flexibility and good attitudes was the norm for Monkey Boy. Even when after standing in line for awhile several rides had to go "off line" and we had to do something else, he went cheerfully on to the next thing.
Please don't think I am bragging at how great my kids are-I'm just as shocked by the good behavior as the next guy. Not to say that I expected him to behave like a demon child, but he is almost four and Disneyland is a sensory overload even for adults. Let's just say I was prepared for a re-run of last time.
I won't bore you with vacation details that no one cares about except those who are related to us (and even them not so much). I didn't start on the embroidery that I thought I would, but I did get a bunch of crochet granny squares done. Crochet is making a comeback around here. With all the babies due in the next few months I feel the need to start a baby bootie sweat shop.
