Clearly I must be smoking crack. Instead of taking the $50 my husband kindly gave me to buy maternity shirts I went to the fabric store and bought these three patterns and oodles of fabric. Seeing as we are still really early in this pregnancy and Bean is pooching out slightly I thought regular shirts that were on the baggy side would be a good bet for awhile. I figured this tangent was worth pursuing when I saw that all Simplicity patterns were $1.99 this week. booyah! I actually had 6 patterns picked out, two more for me and one for Peanut, but the only ones they had in the other styles were waify Kate Moss sized and the kiddie pattern was out. I'll try again this weekend and maybe take a raincheck. $1.99 patterns, that was my crack right there.
Currently the fabric is washing and drying away and as soon as I am done with this here posty thing I will be cutting out my pattern. This may be a disaster because there is a four year old who will be really interested in what I am doing. Livin' on the edge, I am.
I went knowing I was going to get these Built By Wendy patterns and about shrieked with joy when I saw the Project Runway line. Love it in a major way, hate that it is sized for Juniors. What the hey peeps? You make me think too much when you do that. And why would only Junior sized gals (who conceivably would be in high school) Project Runway clothes?? I know sewing is making a comeback, but I'm pretty sure its still way uncool to go to school in stuff your mom made you.
