My friend melissa reminded me that when one is on bedrest and doesn't post to their blog every day or so, readers might begin to wonder if things are ok. Good call, Melissa!
Well, things are good here. Status quo, anyway. Still on bedrest, still no baby, still getting contractions that occasionally send me hospital bound. We went back last night, with the worst of the contractions to date. I love how every time I go (four times so far) they ask me if I can tell the difference between Braxton-Hicks and real contractions. Uh. Yeah, people. As far as my understanding is Braxton-Hicks don't last three or more hours and occur every 5 minutes or so. Turns out I am a bit of an extra contracty kinda girl. These aren't Braxton-Hicks, but they aren't baby producing real contractions either. Yippee for me. So I keep going to the hospital, keep getting shots and thankfully keep getting sent home.
My birthday was on the 3rd and I played bedrest hooky to go out to lunch and a bookstore (though, for the record, Aaron really hated the idea of me browsing at a bookstore, but I pulled the "but it's my birthday!" card). I got Ed Emberly's Complete Funprint book for the kids. maybe one day this week I'll pull out the stamp pads and let them go to town. For some reason, even though the stuff in the book looks SO FUN I am hesitating at unleashing a two year old and four year old on some stamp pads with the express purpose of getting their hands covered in ink... Though, I wouldn't have to clean up, right? I'm on bedrest...
